the latest news from Showtime studios

I received this email today from the Producer at Showtime Networks whom I've been working with the last month or so:

    "Hi, Rhonda --

Well, I know the Rights & Clearances people are swamped,
but I'll bug them again. Thanks for letting me know.

Meanwhile, we finished the show Tuesday night -- only
to have to do a couple of fixes YESTERDAY, but as far
    as I can tell . . TODAY IT'S FINISHED!

I'm going to take the next 2 days off to recover and then
next week will carefully pack up all the jewels and return
them to you. Oh, and by then the DVD's of the show
will be produced and I'll send to you.

Premiere of the first play of THE TUDORS: ROYAL STYLEMAKERS
is Thursday, April 12th, 10-10:30 pm on STYLE NETWORK.

During the COMMERCIAL BREAK between Segment 2 and
Segment 3 is what the network calls a "PODBUSTER," which
is a 30-second piece that tells the viewers to come back after
the break for more of the show.

We made the PODBUSTER all about the "Chain of Office." And
Robert Verdi, one of Style Networks' hosts (and original host
of "Fashion Police"), does a nice little riff about it and credits
Sapphire and Sage. So, it's a free commercial for you!

And at the end of the Marie Claire "Fashion Show" segment,
Cleo, the Style Director of Marie Claire, says goodbye and waves
your peacock feather fan. (Although she doesn't SAY "Sapphire
    and Sage").

Plus, you're also listed in the credits.

So, I think you're going to be very pleased.

And that's it for now. Have a great weekend and I'll remind the
guys again to send you the release.

Oh -- that's amazing about your friend becoming a Showtime
subscriber. That's the kind of thing people want to hear!
    I'll pass that on. . .

    Best,
    MJ"

I'm glad that she was able to work in the items that my sister, Dawn (who makes the fans on my web site) and I sent. Hopefully, the direct plug by Mr. Verdi doesn't bring me too much more business...I'm up to my eyes in orders as it is: 39 at last count, with 10 in my mailbox waiting to be processed. It has been a really fun experience, though, and I'm very happy to have taken part in it. When I started doing this 5 years ago, I'd honestly never have guessed that it would have grown into what it has, especially in such a short amount of time. Of course, now that Sapphire & Sage has made it to the small screen, I guess the next step is a major motion picture!!! ;)
